What a truly wonderful 5 day adventure. We saw the most stunning sites making us feel like we were in a different country. Damo was the ultimate guide. His fascinating cultural knowledge, thoughtfulness, sense of humour and organisational skills were the best. He certainly made our trip exciting, comfortable and fun. As Damo got to know us and as the temperature got hotter and hotter, he adapted the itinerary for us making sure that we had plenty of swims in the most amazing waterholes. The accomodation was all really lovely and we certainly had plenty of good food. Even stopping in the middle of nowhere on day 1 - Damo produced a cool, fresh prepared lunch along with chairs and a table. The tours included were really special and we got to see a vast array of gorges, crocodiles and beautiful country side. We are a family of 5 adults. This was a trip that we read about and it sounded amazing but to actually experience it was truly amazing. We highly recommend Venture North - they are a genuine, thoughtful company and produce a high end tour. Thanks Damo and all of the team . L, M, C, G, M

A trip of a lifetime. Our family of 4 (boys 6 & 8 yo) will never forget this trip. Our guide Damo customised the trip as he got to know us - our interests (indigenous history, nature & water holes). Damo was always prepared & on time. Snacks, meals & iced water were always flowing. As were the local knowledge into the animal & plant life. Damo has unique access to rarely visited sites - for art & swimming spots. Every day was different & full of highlights. When the kids needed more down time Damo seamlessly adapted the schedule accordingly. Thank you to Damo & the Venture North team for a wonderful adventure for the whole family.

We enjoyed absolutely everything about the experience, we had the best five days exploring and it was a great mixture of adventure but also time to relax and take in the stunning scenery and serenity of this magnificent land. Len also absolutely loved the fishing with our gentle fisherman Travis. Our guide Dave's knowledge was next level impressive and his enthusiasm and love for the land was infectious, we have now become bird watchers! The food was amazing and as a foody myself I was so impressed how they catered for everyone's diet for breakfast lunch and dinner. I had very high expectations before we arrived and I have to say my expectations were blown out of the water. We haven't stopped telling our friends about this incredible experience and will definitely be going back to explore and learn more. Fabulous small tour experience which we highly recommend B&L

This 5 day adventure was truly fantastic, not only because of the privilege of visiting stunningly beautiful far North West Arnhem Land and Kakadu, but mostly due to the thoughtful staff and our exceptional guide Nick. Nick's knowlede of the environment, calm manner and sense of humour made this journey interesting, fun and very relaxing. When he wasn't sharing fascinating cultural or environmental information whist driving our comfortable land cruiser, he was morphng into our chef creating healthy, fresh and very tasty meals (think the perfect rib eye done just the way you like it, pot-roasted lamb on the fire with freshy roasted veggies and jus, fresh BBQ'd barramundi with butter/dill/flaked almonds or snapper poached with a mild tumeric coconut curry). The camp was super comfortable with stunning views across Port Essington and was kept meticulously clean and welcoming by Sophie and Senne. The hot showers and toilets had views to die for. The fishing was next level - thankyou Travis! We caught snapper and a huge spanish mackeral for our dinner. This 5 day experience was something very special; a part of Australia I have longed to see and would very much like to return to, to explore and learn more. I cannot recommend Venture north more highly; they provide a small, thoughtful, exceptional experience to the Far North .

Incredible! What a fabulous 5 days. The beauty, the isolation, the tranquility were second to none. Fishing was fantastic, a 24lb (11kg) catch is hard to top. The food was fresh, delicious and healthy, accommodation was comfortable and the view from the toilet... amazing. Lying in our bunk beds, staring out at the moon and stars, watching ‘Chris (4m) crocodile in the bay below. Our guide, Nick was fantastic and our enjoyment of the trip was in no small part due to his expertise. We missed out on visiting several indigenous art centre due to covid. But always leave something for next time ... perhaps a yoga retreat?

We had an AMAZING time! The trip was so unique and filled with adventure. It was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, and we would never have seen and done everything we did in 5 days on our own. We came away feeling totally refreshed and inspired by the wonderful experiences we had. A special shout-out to Nick - he was an incredibly thoughtful, knowledgeable, and patient guide. I felt so well looked after with all the vegetarian food he prepared for me. Everyone at the camp was also so lovely.

We did the 5-day Cobourg, Kakadu, Arnhemland tour and had an absolute blast. Our accommodation was was clean and very comfortable. Our guide Nick was very knowledgeable and an absolute Top Chef! We had some long days of driving broken up by stops to view rock art, do a Corroboree billabong cruise some walks and a visit to the art centre. The highlight for me was the visit to Victoria settlement at Cobourg and a morning of fishing for our dinner that night. The permanent tents at the campsite are very well appointed and the rain showers a treat in the outback. The sunset viewing pavilion is a lovely place to take on the spectacular Cobourg sunsets before dinner. What a trip! Loved it!!

An expedition to west Arnhem Land and Garig Gunak Barlu NP has been on my mind for some while and this trip with Venture North was exceptional ! Hassle free - no car or boat worries - just joined the small group tour and got to enjoy the scenery, banter, amazing meals and stunning camp. I was able to start the tour in Jabiru, enjoyed the Guluyambi cultural cruise and art sites of Ubirr. Then we crossed into Arnhemland - stunning with rich red escarpment, blue billabongs and jewel green grasses. Our guid Dave shared his knowledge of wildlife, European history, traditional culture and on top of all that was a skilled chef and snake catcher ! Eased into life at base camp immediately - loved the velvety sand pathways beautifully tended by Holly, showers with bush view and glamp tents overlooking Port Essington. Skipper Travis could pretty much guarantee fish which magiced into a delicious meal and was our guide to Port Essington and around the beaches and reefs. And did I say it’s a RAMSAR wetland !!!! Totally rejuvenating experience.

We had a fabulous time on this trip, being lucky enough to dodge Covid to get here. Our guides Nick (day 1) and Clint (the rest of the trip) were fantastic and looked after us so well. There is a lot of driving and the car was roomy, the driving excellent and the tour went as planned. My favourite part was the swim and snorkel at Maguk. Bit of a rock scramble to get there but so worth the effort. Also the views from Ubirr and the rock art were just spectacular and very spiritual. The two river cruises were great esp the cultural one. And then there was the camp at Coburg - wonderful views, secluded accommodation and comfy beds for our old bones. The day trips included some fishing and visiting remote, unpopulated beaches. We stopped at Injalak arts centre on the way back which had some amazing pieces (you need to ask to see them). What a privilege to see the Top End in such luxury. Thanks so much Venture North.
